NUEVOS MÉTODOS PARA LA ENSEÑANZA SECUNDARIA DE ADULTOS (New methods for adults education)

La enseñanza secundaria de adultos se desarrolla, en su mayor parte, utilizando métodos heredados de la Enseñanza Secundaria Obligatoria. estos métodos resultan insuficientes para conseguir los objetivos que subyacen a las diferentes leyes de educación y, por supuesto, no permiten de ningún modo conseguir las metas establecidas por la Unión Europea en sus programas de "Aprendizaje a lo largo de la vida". Urge pues un cambio metodológico que tenga en cuenta las ideas que sustentan la nueva filosofía mundial que define el siglo XXI como el siglo del aprendizaje.

PERSONAL AUTONOMY AND CULTURAL INTEGRATION AS BASIS FOR THE FUTURE SOCIETY

PACI project aims at developing methodologies able to provide adult learners with the necessary capabilities and skills to meet European objectives for XXIst century. They must be flexible and autonomous learners able to manage their own learning process. Since, from now on, European citizens' mobility is going to be one of the main features of the European common space, social and cultural integration of people obliged to live out of their country's frontiers becomes crucial. PACI project aims, within the same spirit, at helping European citizens to integrate with each other in order to build up a common culture. PACI project activities split into two working lines: line 1 aims at developing strategies, methods and activities to provide adult learners with suitable skills to manage their learning process in the framework of life long learning; line 2 aims at developing strategies, methods and activities to help immigrants and people facing risk of exclusion to reach the best achievable level of social and cultural integration in the host countries but preserving their own cultural identity. Special attention will also be given to the current practice of citizenship joined to language courses offered to immigrants and other groups in danger of social exclusion in order to facilitate their integration into society.
